Thankful for Mrs. Kim. I lived there nearly seven years and couldn't afford to live anywhere else. Was it the Hotel Hilton? Heck no, but it beat the streets. She let me slide on several occasions but I always paid her with my own honestly hard-earned money.
I heard her verbally abused several times and threatened to be shot at least one occasion. I was robbed, taken advantage of by tenants financially. People tried to break in my place and sell me stuff.
People without jobs partying all day and night, loud music, drinking, fighting, etc. I put up with frequent sleepless nights while having to get up to work the next day.
I saw her be patient, merciful, and give bad tenants several chances to straighten up their act. I mean, like years worth of time to change. No person should have to put up with the kind of abuse she received and yet she forgave them time and time again. Most people would not even let a family member stay with them after that much abuse but she did.
God bless Mrs. Kim.
